Katie Dolejsi, Senior Designer

Hello! I am a visual designer passionate about crafting user-centered solutions that create positive interactions and fulfilling outcomes. With over 25 years of experience, I bring a rich background in designing branded experiences that seamlessly blend creativity with business and UX goals.

My creative journey began in high school, painting holiday scenes on store windows at the local mall. This early passion for visual storytelling led me to pursue a design degree and ultimately shape a lifelong career in the design industry.

After college, I joined Walsh & Associates, a design firm specializing in food branding and package design. As part of the award-winning team, I played a key role in branding Fran’s Chocolates, a start-up that achieved national recognition. From there, I became an Art Director at Services Group of America, overseeing branding and campaign projects for multiple subsidiaries, including FSA, Eagle Insurance, and Travel Services of America.

Eager to take on new challenges, I founded Dolejsi Design, a branding and creative studio. My clients have ranged from global brands like Philips Medical Systems, Renaissance Hotels, and Trident Seafoods to Seattle tech start-ups and non-profit organizations such as Kubota Garden Foundation and Providence Hospice. Each project allowed me to collaborate closely with diverse teams to deliver thoughtful, impactful design solutions.

My career also includes a contract role with Microsoft, where I honed my skills in creating cohesive digital experiences, and a position with EnviroIssues, where I developed comprehensive branding guides and materials. Currently, as a senior designer at Giant Eagle, I produce digital and print marketing communications, including web design, landing pages, email layouts, social media content, and in-store signage.

To stay at the forefront of the industry, I completed a UI/Visual Design program at Seattle’s School of Visual Concepts (SVC), focusing on UI/UX design. This has reinforced my commitment to designing solutions that are not only visually stunning but also intuitive and user-friendly.

I believe every project is an opportunity to create vibrant, memorable visual experiences that attract, inform, and inspire. My approach emphasizes simplicity, clarity, and a deep understanding of user needs to ensure every design is both effective and engaging.

Beyond design, I find inspiration in photography, kayaking, hiking, and taking long walks with my rescue dog, Harley. These activities fuel my creativity and keep me connected to the natural world, a recurring source of inspiration in my work.

Let’s collaborate to create designs that resonate and deliver meaningful results.
